Clary Sage (Salvia Sclarea) Essential Oil

Safety First: 

Clary Sage is a safe essential oil with no hazards or contraindications. The recommended maximum topical use is at a final concentration of 0.25%, so if you want to use the Stress Relief diffuser blend diluted in Kinsley’s Jojoba Carrier Oil, you add 11 drops of the Stress Relief diffuser blend to 1 oz. of Jojoba carrier to achieve this concentration.

Clary Sage essential oil has a shelf life of about four years. In addition to reducing stress, it has had other very interesting activities. Some women have reported increased menstruation after topical exposure to Clary Sage, and so it is best to avoid applying blends with Clary Sage essential oil during pregnancy. This is because one of the compounds, sclareol, is an estrogen-like compound. In the Kinsley Oils blend, this compound is a very minor component. As with all oils and blends, if they smell different than when you first purchased the product or smell ‘off’ discard the product.
