SPF 8 Mineral Sunscreen 3 fl oz

This is pretty thick lotion so it takes a moment to absorb into my skin, but there's not much residue once it does. My skin feels a little powdery and looks a little shiny after applying it, but it feels fairly lightweight and soft. I also love the smell of it.

This has a nice mild fresh scent to it- bonus for when applying to my face, as I'm sensitive to smells. It absorbed well and once rubbed in left no white hue. Since this has a low SPF I used it on an overcast day- a time I still get burned on my face as I am exceptionally fair skinned. It worked well for me and left my skin feeling soft even after I washed it off.

I find this ideal for when I'm going on hikes on overcast days, ot when I'm in wooded areas where I don't get a lot of prolonged sun exposure. It didn't feel thick, protected my skin and left it feeling nice afterwards.

This sunscreen has a light and smooth texture. It rubs in totally clear, very quickly, actually. Lots of white colored sunscreens take a while to rub in completely but not this one - which is really nice! It does have a fragrance - nothing like the tropical-smelling sunscreens - but if you are looking for fragrance-free, this is not the one for you. I looked at the ingredients and tried to pick out the fragrance I was smelling, but I couldn't figure it out - floral like jasmine, maybe. I wouldn't call it a subtle fragrance, but it also isn't completely overpowering.

I wear the lower SPF sunscreens like this one when I'm not going to be out in the sun for an extended period of time. To me, this is an everyday sunscreen. I have used it under and on top of makeup - I only use a CC cream and concealer. I'm middle-aged with lines in the usual places on my face and my skin is combination, leaning toward oily. The texture of the sunscreen leans toward oily rather than creamy, if that makes sense - kind of how solidified coconut oil melts when you put it on your warm skin. I was worried my face would be super shiny - it isn't shiny, and it doesn't feel heavy at all.

Smells good, seems to go on and stay well. I'll need to do some more strenuous activity to test, but it's currently winter.

This “Absolutely Natural SPF 8 Mineral Sunscreen Lotion with Rose Hips Oil, Cruelty Free and Reef Safe, Made in USA” provides minimal protection from sunburn and was designed for moderate exposure to the sun like when you park your car in an uncovered parking lot, and need to walk to the mall entrance. This was not intended to be used when going to the beach or when you will be exposed to the sun for a long time.

Having said that. I love the all-natural formulation of this lotion. I wish they made one with better protection to say at least SPF 30. My skin hates Zinc Oxide and its awful smell. I love the scent of this lotion and the way it glides on my skin when applied. It is non-greasy, light, and easy to apply.

Overall, loving this lotion. If you need minimal SPF protection you may want to check this lotion out. Good stuff!

To me this smells so good not like typical sunscreen. Like I’m on vacation or something. It’s hard to describe. It is only spf 8 which won’t do much for you, but you do you. I toss this on if I’m driving somewhere or pop out for a min to watch my daughter practice tennis. It rubs in nicely. I didn’t notice a white cast, but I’m more fair skinned. It isn’t greasy, but more like light body oil. Love that it’s reef safe as well. Although I am fair skinned I tan easily due to being 1/8 Native American so I can’t speak too much on burning. I know staying out of the sun prevents aging, but sometimes I just need to sit in the sun. Would love to buy their high spf for summer months! I have oily acne prone skin and did not put this on my face. Ignore my dry hands.. I clean a lot and wash my hands a lot lol.

Sunscreen works great, doesn’t run into my eyes, and has a pleasant scent.

This is my most used in the Absolutely Natural SPF line & is always just enough mineral sunscreen to protect me on walks or gardening.

i have used AS products for years. I really enjoy the newest formulation without the Zinc. SG 8-50 sun protection creams go where I go.

I have used only Absolutely Natural sunscreen for many years. Long ago, I discovered that I was allergic to the chemicals in "normal" sunscreens and would get a rash whenever I used it. There weren't many sunscreen brands available using zinc oxide at that time and when my sister -in-law told me about this, I eagerly ordered it and have used it ever since. I love that it doesn't leave my skin white...no one even knows that I'm using zinc oxide! And...it's the only sunscreen allowed on the beaches of Hawaii!

I love this stuff! It protects my skin without leaving white residue.

I’ve tried quite a few mineral sunscreens and most are greasy, difficult to wash off, leave a white cast, and have such a high spf that I get no sun. This spf 8 sunscreen is amazing! It gives me just enough protection that I don’t burn, smells amazing, and doesn’t leave a white cast or leave my skin feeling gross. I absolutely love it!

It is really difficult to find SPF 8 sunscreen. This worked very well. It wasn't really shiny or greasy. And, the best, it is a mineral sunscreen and reef safe!

The lack of chemicals is a must for sensitive skin and it stays on all day without a greasy or whitening look.

This is a nice zinc oxide based sunscreen that goes on easily to where it's not visible. Will order again

i think it does a great job with skin protection. i've been happy with it overall. wish it came in a spf 6 as an option as well. and also wish it was a larger bottle, as you go through it pretty quick.

the thickness of the cream can make spreading evenly a bit tedious. i dab dots of it all over over my body before rubbing it in. as you get midway through the container some watery fluid comes out instead of the cream. it seems to me that the fluid was meant to help make it more creamier but then separated from the lotion somehow.

This sunscreen is lightweight, easily melts into the skin and is comfortable to wear. The scent is a little strong. It’s non irritating to my sensitive skin. Good value product

Absolutely Natural SPF 8 is the kind of stuff I wanted behind the doctor's back. HIgher SPF is always recommended but I need a little sun to make me look alive! This accomplishes just what I want - a little sun going through but not going completely bare and unprotected. This is not your armor for the days at the beach. Rather, on my regular days, I'm barely outside and when I do, I want the sun on my skin without damaging me. I did end up with some dark spots post partum, so I don't like to go bare, and this feels perfect. It goes on smooth and clear, no white cast, and light rosy scent to make me feel good. Made in USA.

I live in Hawaii and would definitely recommend this sunscreen. It's great that its reef safe and works well with my skin.

This sunscreen works great and I only need to reapply once or twice within a sunny day. I have really sensitive skin and this moisturizes too. I would recommend getting a larger bottle to last longer.

This comes out of the tube white but once rubbed in is completely clear. It absorbs into the skin quickly without leaving a sticky or pasty residue. It is low dog so great for every day use when you’re not going to be out in the bright sun for periods of time. There is a light scent so if your sensitive to smells be aware of that. I personally get migraines from string florally scents but this scent did not bother me.

This a great light duty sunscreen. It moisturizes and has a slight rose scent to it. It goes on nice and smooth and absorbs quickly. And it's made in the USA. If I am going to be outside all day in the bright sun I would opt for something stronger but up here in the upper Midwest long sunny days are pretty rare so this is a good option.

Reef safe sunscreen is a must if you’re going anywhere near the ocean. It’s important to protect our wildlife from dangerous chemicals. SPF 8 is a bit lower than I’m used to, but I haven’t been burnt with this yet. Even do, I’d be careful and only use this for shorter outings to the beach.m and maybe in conjunction with a floppy hat or umbrella. You should also note that this doesn’t claim to be waterproof. It doesn’t irritate my skin or leave a white cast. I like it for lighter days outside. I’d get it again.

Goes on great and good protection

I like to go for walks on the beach often and I needed sunscreen that protects me from short sun exposure. I must mention that I don't expose my skin to very high temperatures, I go to the beach in sunny but comfortable temperatures, usually under 76F, and I usually walk for an hour at the most. I have to say this sunscreen is perfect for me, it protects my skin with a nice layer because it is not thin, but at the same time, it doesn't leave my skin white. When applying it, you have to rub it several times for the cream to absorb but when it does, it doesn't leave residues and the skin feels moisturized. The only thing I didn't like is the scent, it has a strong rose scent, however, after a while the smell doesn't seem too bad. If you like rose scent you will love this one. What I like about Absolutely Natural sunscreen is the fact that is indeed, natural, reef-safe, and cruelty-free.
